Covenant Legal

CLEAR TERMS. CLEAR LIMITS.

This Legal Hub explains how orders work, what Covenant products can and cannot tell you, how information is handled, and the responsibilities that remain with the user.

01 · Terms of Sale

Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to orders placed with Covenant, trading as Covenant where applicable ("Covenant", "we", "us" or "our"). By placing an order and actively accepting these terms, you agree to the version displayed at the time of order.

Orders

An order submitted through the website is a request to purchase the selected product. We may decline or cancel an order where fulfilment is impossible, payment has failed, pricing is clearly erroneous, fraud is reasonably suspected, required information is missing, or supply is not reasonably possible. If money has already been received, any refund required by applicable law will be processed.

Pricing and payment

The price applicable to an order is the price confirmed for that order. Where a public price is configured, online payment is processed through Paystack. Where the website displays "Contact for pricing" or no final price, submission records an order request only and does not create a paid order. Covenant records the payment status separately and verifies successful Paystack transactions before treating an order as paid.

Built to order

Covenant Sentinel and Covenant Vanguard are prepared on an order basis. Work ordinarily begins after the order is accepted and, where payment is required before production, after payment is confirmed.

Estimated delivery period

The normal estimated delivery period is 8–14 business days. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and South African public holidays. This period is an estimate rather than an absolute guarantee and can be affected by component availability, production, testing, courier delays, destination, severe weather, service interruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Customer information

You are responsible for providing accurate contact, delivery and order information. We are not responsible for delays caused solely by materially incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer.

Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive, restrict or avoid any statutory consumer right that may not lawfully be waived, restricted or avoided. Where mandatory South African consumer or electronic-commerce law gives you a right to cancel, return, receive a refund, receive safe and good-quality goods, or obtain another remedy, that right remains applicable.

02 · Product Disclaimer

Product Disclaimer

Covenant Sentinel and Covenant Vanguard are wireless-awareness and analytics products. Their outputs are derived from observations of nearby wireless activity and must be interpreted as indicators, estimates and supporting information rather than guaranteed statements of fact.

Covenant Sentinel

Sentinel is designed to provide additional awareness of wireless activity around a property. A detected signal does not prove that a particular person is present, identify the owner of an anonymous device, establish an exact physical distance, indicate criminal activity or confirm that a security threat exists.

Sentinel is not an alarm service, emergency service, armed-response service, law-enforcement service or replacement for appropriate physical security measures. Signal strength can be affected by walls, hardware, radio conditions, device behaviour and the surrounding environment.

Covenant Vanguard

Vanguard provides anonymous wireless-presence analytics intended to help businesses understand traffic patterns. Foot-traffic, dwell, repeat-presence and similar measurements are estimates derived from observable wireless activity. A detected wireless identifier does not necessarily equal one unique human, and one person may generate more than one observable identifier.

Passive Vanguard scanning does not identify anonymous strangers or obtain their names, phone numbers, email addresses, messages, browsing data or personal profiles from nearby wireless signals.

No guaranteed outcomes

We do not guarantee that a Covenant product will detect every wireless device, identify every relevant event, prevent crime or loss, increase revenue, improve conversion, identify a specific person, or produce any particular security or commercial outcome.

Decision responsibility

You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken in response to Covenant observations, alerts, analytics or estimates. Wireless observations should not by themselves be treated as proof of wrongdoing or as a substitute for appropriate professional, security, legal or business judgment.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Covenant and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on wireless observations, estimates, alerts or analytics. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that may not lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability that applicable law prevents us from excluding.

03 · Shipping & Delivery

Shipping & Delivery

Covenant devices are built or prepared after an order is accepted. The normal estimated delivery period is 8–14 business days.

Delivery estimates begin from the point stated in the order confirmation and may depend on payment confirmation where payment is required before production. Courier service and transit times can vary by destination.

If a material delay becomes known, we will use the contact information supplied with the order to communicate with the customer. The admin order system records production and shipping status, and a tracking number can be added after dispatch.

Risk, delivery obligations and remedies remain subject to applicable law and the circumstances of the order.

04 · Returns & Warranty

Returns, Defects & Warranty

Covenant does not use a blanket "no refunds" rule to remove rights that customers may have under applicable South African law.

If a product is defective, unsafe, materially different from what was agreed, or otherwise subject to a statutory remedy, contact Covenant promptly through the Support page and provide your order number and a description of the problem.

Where an electronic transaction qualifies for a statutory cooling-off right or another cancellation right, that right applies subject to the relevant legal requirements and exceptions. The fact that an item is prepared after an order is placed does not, by itself, necessarily remove statutory cancellation rights.

Any additional voluntary warranty beyond statutory rights will apply only if it is expressly stated in the product documentation, order confirmation or a separate written warranty supplied with the product.

05 · Privacy

Privacy Policy

We process information needed to operate the Covenant sales website, fulfil orders, provide support, administer the business, maintain security and comply with applicable obligations.

Information you provide

This can include your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, order details, support messages and any information you voluntarily submit through the website.

Order and legal records

The order system can store your order status, payment status or reference, product, quantity, delivery details and the version/time of legal acceptance associated with the order.

How we use information

  • to process and fulfil orders;
  • to communicate about production, delivery and support;
  • to maintain order, accounting and operational records;
  • to protect the website and admin system against misuse;
  • to comply with applicable legal obligations.

Third parties

Information may be shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to fulfil an order or operate the service. Paystack processes online payments, and courier providers may receive delivery information when an order is dispatched. Covenant does not receive or store your full payment-card details through the Paystack hosted checkout. We do not claim that passive Sentinel or Vanguard wireless observations reveal the personal content of nearby devices.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the system. Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, legitimate business records, dispute handling, security or legal obligations.

Privacy contact

Privacy enquiries can be submitted through Covenant Support or to the configured Covenant support address.

06 · Responsible Use

Responsible Use

Covenant products must be used lawfully and responsibly. They must not be used as justification for harassment, unlawful surveillance, unlawful discrimination, unauthorised access to another person's devices or networks, interference with communications, or any other unlawful activity.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their deployment, data handling, guest Wi‑Fi, marketing-consent process and business use comply with the laws and obligations applicable to them.
